More than 5 months in the making, WebRanks.net is a free web based rank tracking tool which I masterminded and which was designed and developed by a very talented web designer and developer, who is also a good friend from high-school days.

The very first public preview is available here in the form of a screenshot.

The first public beta will only be available to 100 people (as you may have noticed in the screenshot) and while there is no pre-registration option, you can follow WebRanks on Twitter and receive notification the instant it becomes available.

Without going into feature details, one of the biggest advantages of WebRanks over other products is that it is web-based, which means you don’t need to download and run software, and you can use it on both Mac and PC. Rank tracking is scheduled without you having to think about it, and you can login from any computer.

The rank tracking and graphing features rival (and often surpass) paid tools, and it will remain free.

I am extremely proud of the concepts behind this tool, and I am extremely proud of Dave’s exceptional development and design skills! This is the beginning of something very big and very special!
